First and foremost, free is not always illegal. Some artists for personal reasons may put up their songs for free downloads. Whereas in some circumstances free downloads are alternatives to the paid version of the music.
Do people really buy music because they want to, or because there are no other means of getting the music? Because there is this notion that people want to enjoy the music, yet don’t want to support the artist. Buying music is as a culture, takes more than just the urge to want to buy the music. In our part of the world, the payment plan, the transaction rate, and other factors come to play.
So our question is, all things being equal, meaning you have a pay option and a free option. Would you willingly pay for your favourite song or album to support the career of the artist or download it for free? Don’t forget to leave your comments below after voting.
