From time immemorial beefs have been an unavoidable component in the music business. Some have gone beyond the music while others just kept it to the music.
Beefs have been used an opportunity to gain relevance, revive ‘dead’ music careers, sell albums, concerts and many more. Some have also lead to the loss of great talents in some circles, unfortunately.
In our current setting as a creative industry and with the coming in of the internet and social media. Does one artiste need to take a jab at another for any reason?

Can’t any artiste build his or her own buzz, devoid of taking shots at another artiste, just to capitalize on it and make sales?
Is beefing another artiste for relevance, a smart business move or as a result of the artiste’s own insecurity?
